Collage Wall
BUBBLES
“Bubbles” is the name of this collage wall featuring hand-painted posters, self-assigned by Various & Gould for a busy street corner in Berlin-Schöneberg. The surface consists of several billboards that are apparently no longer in use, featuring very dynamic textures created by layers of torn-down and peeling-off structures.
With their cut-out poster shapes, the art duo added another layer to this multi-layered background and left it to the transience of time. The wavering motifs, with their painted folds and distorted grid points, are like a macro shot into the inner workings of one of their pieces from the “Face Time” or “Intervall” series.
