Berlin
The “2nd 11th Interventionale” presents artistic interventions in the public space and thereby resulting artifacts. Additional to works by Bram Braam, Brad Downey, Gerd Rohling, N. U. Unruh , The Wa and Raul Walch, Various & Gould’s first paper casting from the series “City Skins” will be exhibited for the first time.
An urban intervention is the most direct form of interaction of contemporary art that combines conceptual approaches and strategies with the aesthetics of their implementation and execution. For the artists, the urban space functions as a stage. The starting point is basically a strong concern. The here presented artistic works range from conceptual art to pop art.
Opening speeches on March 3rd will be held by curator Jan Kage, Dr. Marc Wellmann (Haus am Lützowplatz) and Olivier Höbel (IG Metall). The evening will be accompanied by music and literature: N. U. Unruh performs with self-made metal objects and Saralisa Volm recites Bertolt Brecht.
