#PublicTale No. 01 –
"Mike, Pete & Joe"

Berlin – May 2015

“Mike, Pete and Joe“ is a short story written by Polina Soloveichik, illustrated and brought to the street by Various & Gould as part of the Backjumps 20+1. You could discover the whole story by taking a walk around the block along a certain route in Berlin-Kreuzberg. This much can be told: It‘s about three workers and the mistery of abandoned construction sites …

The starting point and a map with the route was revealed at the Backjumps exhibition in Kunstraum Kreuzberg / Bethanien. Each image would give you the address for the next location!

Since these 6 collage-based pieces were part of the public space, their lifespan and their completeness were unpredictable and only temporary.

A project by Various & Gould and Polina Soloveichik as part of Backjumps 20+1, Berlin 2015.

“Recently Berlin-based artist duo Various & Gould have revealed a street art scavenger hunt as part of the Backjumps exhibition opening at Kunstraum Bethanien. We absolutely love this idea, combining art with an interactive game and making it an experience that goes beyond the traditional gallery visit.”Frank R. Schröder, iHeartBerlin.de, 2015
